Emergencies Response

Children play and learning in camp

From providing disaster relief to running recovery projects, we works to protect the rights of children and young people during emergencies.

Children's Media Centre has been responding to disasters ever since the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Aceh on 2004.

Last, we provide life-saving humanitarian assistance, protection, education and emotional support to children Rohingya refugees stranded in Aceh on 2015.

We also work to support communities, governments and international institutions to identify and reduce the risks of disasters.

CMC's approach puts children in Psychosocial rehabilitation - helping them to recover, protect and involve them to reduce disaster risk, and prepare them to become resilient to future shocks.

We also build on the potential of children and young people to be the change-makers in a community’s future. Prepared for disasters
